Staying With Us
Hospitality House of Charlotte provides more than just a place to stay for families experiencing a medical crisis. Its close proximity to the area's largest hospitals – Presbyterian Hospital and Carolinas Medical Center – gives guests comfort knowing their loved one is nearby, as well as peace of mind to the patient, knowing that their loved ones are in a safe, comfortable place. Staff and volunteers are on-site at all times to lend a supportive ear and answer questions.
We have two programs for our guests
Overnight Guest Program
We provide safe and affordable place for our Overnight Guests to sleep. All of our 22 rooms have two twin beds and a private bath. Our Overnight Guests also have access to all our first-floor amenities where they can prepare a meal in our kitchen, check email, access the Internet or watch TV in our common area ”family room.” We also have a welcoming sunroom where guests can spend time alone in quiet reflection or invite other family members in to escape the stresses of the hospital setting. Overnight Guests may also do laundry in one of the laundry facilities found on each floor. There is a minimum fee of $40 per room per night. Each guest must prepay for the amount of days they feel they might be staying with us. If the guests do not know a checkout day, if possible, we suggest a 5 day prepayment. If they leave early they will receive a refund. Payment methods include: Cash, Visa and Master Card.
Day Guest Program
For guests who are able and prefer to stay in the hospital room with their loved one, our Day Guest Program provides a laundry room with all the needed laundry supplies, a spacious bathroom with all the necessary personal supplies. Day Guests are also welcome to use our first-floor amenities including the kitchen, stocked pantry, family room, sun room and common areas. Here you may grab a cup of coffee, check your email, watch TV, or just sit in the sunroom and relax. These amenities allow Day Guests to escape the stresses of the hospital setting, if only for a short while, to refresh, relax and experience the “comforts of home” before heading back to the hospital. There is a minimal fee of $10 per guest per day.
